The client had been seeking an efficient solution to process end-of-life vehicle tyres and green waste.
The Khimji Ramdas Engineering Products & Services division with M/s Edge (UK) proposed the Slayer XL twin shaft high torque waste shredders to be set up at three locations in the Sultanate of Oman. These machines offer a high throughput with minimal wear and their robust design promises a longer life expectancy.
The delivery, testing and commissioning of the shredders was successfully completed in February 2019. They are able to efficiently process green waste and end-of-life tyres to produce a reduced piece size of 0-150mm at the rate of 500 tyre per hour, which allows the client to handle and store the waste more easily.
be’ah currently uses the shredders in the three locations to shred tyres and other large waste materials. A service team from the Khimji Ramdas Engineering Products & Services division provides technical support.
